Part 1 has as its starting point the character of Iago in Shakespeare’s play Othello. We meet a young man who has resigned his belief in the West and chooses to travel far away to realize a romantic ideal of war. Part 1 is the first part of Iraqi Bodies’ project PITY in which Shakespeare’s play Othello is re-devised in a contemporary setting.
